I think I have the same issue. I haven't checked my logs to confirm, but it seems like my wireless receiver resets sometimes and all of my wireless zones show as violated. Over time I think these zones "sync up" where they show as normal. However, if I need to arm the alarm and this just...
Ugh - just signed up with AR after installing my 4500EZ. I spent $230 total for the 4500EZ, M1XSP, P1215K, and a 12'x12' Elk Box to store it all in. Monitoring for this setup is $19.95/month. Wish I just purchased the IP Datatel unit like you suggested to save the upfront cost (there is one on...
I haven't read through the entire thread, but I had A LOT of communication issues between my Weigand keypad and my KP2. All issues were resolved once I used 18-2 shielded wire to carry the data between the KP2 and the keypad. In addition, I swapped out the existing Cat5 cable that ran from my...
I am guessing that the market is probably too small to dedicate resources to this. iRule is also going down the CI route (though I think they're positioning is a little confusing) and the Elk M1 is more of a DIY product. On a personal note, I would love this and it would give me a reason to drop...
Hi, I will be purchasing smoke detectors in the near future and wanted to get people's opinions on sounders or no sounders. I will run the smokes through my Elk, so I thought I could rely on the Panel to sound a fire alarm. Any thoughts on getting smokes with sounders vs letting the panel handle...
No plug-in capability. According to the forum responses, the device comes with "a version of HS3." The version of Linux currently installed does not support VBScript, but does support vb.net scripts. The plugins are unsupported because they are DLLs and not compatible with Linux. According to...
Interesting. I have 3 Kwikset ZWave locks in two locations which are about 50 feet away from each other in my house. I tried using an LDM-15 in between both locations with a Vera3 (as primary controller) and the connection is still unreliable. I will try an LOM-15 to see if things get better.
I just got two of these to replace halogen bulbs in my exterior porch lights and they're absolutely perfect. My use case, exterior lights that stay on for hours every night, is perfect for these bulbs.
We have an in-house Motorola baby video monitor that uses 2.4GHz RF + a separate Foscam FI18910W. I can access the Foscam remotely, but primarily use the Motorola video monitor when we're home. With the Foscam, I could potentially migrate away from the Motorola system by using some baby monitor...
Check it out here - they even have a video of the tool in action. The dust pan is on a ball bearing and there are two cutting blades across from one another which would limit lateral motion. While some of the dust may escape, it seems like it does a great job trapping ~80%.
