Apologizes if I have offended anyone. I wasn't trying to judge the fairness of the quote I got from Maxtech, just to explain why I was recommending them even though I hadn't ultimately used them myself.

I finally wound up doing the install myself.   Arnost/IDS gave me a reasonable quote, but I could never get him to actually come do the work.   I almost went with Maxtech (maxtechseattle.com). The guy I talked to was Erik Yurkanin. Very professional, and I think he would have done a great job...

Our front door keypad is also visible from the street. At night it is very obvious. I find it reassuring.

I'm having a similar problem. XEP was reliably sending arm/disarm emails for 1 month plus then suddely stopped. I notice that when I try to send a test mail form the button on the email tab RP disconnects. No solution yet.

Elk finally put me in touch with Arnost Fronek of IDS Audio Video (www.ids-nw.net), and I think we're going with him. I'll update this thread with my experiences in case it is useful to anyone else.

Aha, I'm a noob and didn't know there was a directory. There's only one company listed in WA though (http://www.convergedgreen.com), and it doesn't look like they do Elk. Any additional recommendations would be much appreciated!

Can anyone recommend one? I have tried contacting Elk, but for some reason their WA rep is being very slow to get in touch.
