I had the exact same thing happen last year. I replaced my Rain8net with the new Rain8net Pro which has surge protection for each zone. So far so good.... But it does cost a bit more!!

I use http://tversity.com/ to transcode my movies to the XBox360, has worked great for over a year. Free and has great user community.

Have you checked out the Media Player plug-in for Homeseer? You can access that via the normal HS webserver, or the Maestro interface to Media Player or ITunes is also an option if you already have HS...

Spanky, I know you can't guarentee any dates or pricing, but if you could guess... Would you expect the M1XRF being available in the next month?? I just purchased the NX-548E, but I would sure like the 144 zones in the M1XRF if possible, but I don't want to wait more the say 30 days or so...

I'm just getting around to installing my M1G and have a simple install question... I'm planning to use CAT5 to each of my two keypads but was wonder if I could use the same run for a speaker in each location? Would the single run handle both or would I (or should I) run 2 lines??

Johnnynine, I just re-read your question... I completely agree... What now? Have you called Smarthome? Update... Just taked to Smarthome and they've confirmed that the Serial unit is the one that's included and said they would update their site..

Now that's funny... I ordered the M1 as well last night (using the 25% discount)... My only concern is the install... I'm hoping to find someone in Dallas that will run the wires for me (my crawl space is only about 10'')... Has any one used the wireless devices to any great extent?
