66 blocks were never intended to be used with CLOSED LOOP burg circuits. All other circuits are fine. Closed loop splices/connections must be SOLID ( screw term, BB's, solder) and sometimes these methods can fail. WHY would anyone WANT to put burg loops on a 66?? All loops should be in a panel...

How long has it been in service? Have you had an increase in zone resistance? What's the humidity level at the 66 block? I would be surprised if you didn't have problems within a few years.

DON'T do it. Closed circuits won't take it kindly.

Don't forget FIRE safety. Activation of the fire alarm will shut down the fans to stop distributing smoke! This feature is most important.

I use DVC in bathrooms only. If you can't seperate the r/l speakers at least 6' apart, then go with DVC. They actually have a great bass response.

Having installed over 20 Omni's before M1, I am firmly in the ELK camp now. No looking back or 2nd thoughts. HAI these days is playing catch-up to ELK ( their IP Touchscreen will not be out till '08). ELK is continually improving it. The iTouch interface will be the next cool upgrade.

I attended the ISC East show in New York (on 9/11!) and played with the new TSU9600 remote....... at the HAI booth! Besides being a high end HT remote it also controlled the Omni system with the same GUI platform as their TS, and it is 2-WAY. Very, Very, Cool. What else might it do??? Reports...
