Another ZWave switch bites the dust!

The family room has 2 ceiling fixtures each with a single 60 watt bulb. Only 1 bulb blew taking the switch with it. This the fourth HomePro ZDW100W/ZRW100W switch to die when a bulb blows.

Another ZWave switch bites the dust!

I am now down to 4 HomePro ZWave switches from an original 8 as every time a bulb blows out it takes the switch with it. A 60-watt bulb in my family room ceiling light blew and the switch (a dimmer) went with it. These HomePro ZWave switches go back to last summer so I assume thery are no...

    Philips RC9800I/17

Very disappointed. I have the Pronto TSU-3000 and was hoping for similar functionality. I have problems with my Comcast cable box / PVR. I need to control multiple devices depending on the activity. No way to do what I want to do on this device. Functionality way too limited. What were they...

    DVR Camera experiment gone bad

Well the GeoVision GV-650 DVR card is on its way back. I could not get the GeoVision web server to work correctly. I called GeoVision tech support but the tech could not resolve the problem and had to push the problem up the tech ladder. Never heard back. My emails to GeoVison went unanswered...

DVR card vs. Network camera - view images

Typical non-support from a vendor. I cannot get a camera image from the GeoVision web server (login and connect are successful) using Internet Explorer on an AMD64 XP Pro SP2 plain vanilla PC. Sent email on Monday - no response. Called on Monday (not an 800 number). Tech had to bump problem up...

    Panasonic BB-HCM331A Camera Power Cord

I just purchased the Panasonic BB-HCM331A network camera. Great camera - except in low light. My problem - the DC 12-volt power supply has about a 30' cord. I need to mount the camera about 75' from a power source. I purchased a 100' power extension cable. Guess what - the Panasonic has a...

DVR card vs. Network camera - view images

I called GeoVision tech support about not being able to view the camera via the GeoVision web server and Internet Explorer web browser from my AMD64 system when the browser interface to the GeoVision web server works fine from a P4 PC and from my Pentium laptop. The tech had me try a different...

DVR card vs. Network camera - view images

The fixed infrared camera with 23 LEDs operates in complete darkness. Last night the Panasonic had a completely black image, the infrared camera was seeing 50+ feet into the woods. I could easily make out detail in the back yard. The high cost of the Panasonic is obviously due to the...
