    it mostly is just issues with how the apps are compiled, their dependencies, and how the app store accepts them.  Something always changes between major releases so a tiny little update can cause a whole pile of headaches.

    Did you try to google it?  Are you running RunAtLoad in your plist?   install launchcontrol if you need a gui http://www.soma-zone.com/LaunchControl/

    maybe try going into settings>haiku>notifications and disable then enable badge icons.  I haven't had it enabled on mine for years and years, so I don't have the same issue you have.

    type   cat /etc/hosts   when you're done and it should show you the contents of the file

    all this does is append the ip and hostname to the end of /etc/hosts.  paste it in it's entirety in the terminal window   echo "199.19.85.253     push.haikuautomation.com" | sudo tee -a /etc/hosts

    Not sure what Leviton would have to do with this.  It looks to me like someone else owns the haikuautomation.com domain.  Some place called marksmen.com owns it.  They're some sort of brand protection service.  My guess is nullriver got hassled by them, or didn't want their services anymore, and...
