I just got new patio doors installed.  Vinyl.  Probably not real conducive to drilling holes into  :huh:

So no reports of this by any cocooners?  I have one of those front doors with the little side glass that I think this would be awesome for.  

I've seen things like this before in high end hotels.  I think the last one I saw was in Spain.  They also had some sort of fairly advanced lighting control system.  Was awesome!

I was always an HP guy.  Probably my last 5 or 6 printers.  The last one died on me, and I bought a new one to replace.  The photo print quality was awful.  Same with the Epson I test drove.   Finally went with a Canon, and get good photo quality.  It's the Pixma 6320 (a few years old now) and...

  I watched an episode where this guy was selling some sort of doorbell camera.  And acting like he thought of the idea  :blink: 

I bought one of these in September and haven't gotten around to installing it yet.  Need to get on it :angry2:

Thanks guys.  I guess I thought by looking at pictures that those were meant to go into an existing can, which I don't have hear.   I appreciate the explanation :)

I'm sorry, I should have said that I'm not looking for retrofits.  These are new lights in an existing drywall ceiling.  I did see some retrofits at stores but not a lot of whole light assemblies. 

What are guys using for recessed lighting these days?  I am redoing my basement and want to go 4" recessed.  But would rather go LED.    I see some retrofit kits at Lowes, and maybe 1 (expensive) option.  Haven't checked in person at HD just yet.

What is the advantage of a WiFi switch over my Z Wave ones?  Not needing a controller?
