My keypad now displays a dark screen with only  two options "Security" and "Automation" .  Does anybody know how to reset it back to the security touchpad screen?

My computer crashed and unfortunately i didnt back up my Elk RP settings.  I reinstalled the ELK RP software for my M1G, entered the serial in it, but it looks like it will overwrite whats in the alarm.   Is there a way to download the current config back to my PC from my M1XEP?

@TheHoff   How did it go?  I was thinking about doing something similar, but havent even bought the camera yet.

Thanks Work2Play,   Right now the only things i have hooked up to the RS-485 data bus is the Navigator Keypad, its only about 6 feet away right now (just testing, but will be about 50 feet away when installed), and its wired with 18-4 wiring.   The manual shows 2 home runs, but then shows 4...

I'm looking to arm and disarm my Elk M1 via RFID.  My thoughts are to buy a RFID reader and some key fobs (that support Weigand 26), and install the reader inside the house in place of a keypad (i dont have a keypad), and when somebody leaves/enters they just scan the fob and the ELK...

I just took the plunge and ordered an ELK M1.  I know that it has the ability to have rules or scripting, but is there any way to have the system ping an IP address, and then interpret the results?   something like Ping 192.0.0.1, if request times out, turn on light
