    HAI and RTI

Thanks for the reply!  Well, apparently I was wrong and RTI is supposed to be able to recognize the light (and flag) status of HAI, as they are actually HLC links.  But for reasons that we do not know, HAI and RTI are not playing nice.  This is across the board with all feedback from the HAI...

    HAI and RTI

Hello!  I've had an Omni IIe for quite a while now and was using iRule to control it.  With iRule going defunct, I decided to change my system to RTI and let my installer handle the technical aspects.  One thing we've noticed is that RTI cannot recognize state of the UPB links (which is...

    Newbie question about flags

OK, I'm following you both (thanks again!).  In my version, if the party is going on and the motion sensor is NOT READY for more than 15 minutes, then all of a sudden goes SECURE because of a break in the action, then the lights will go off.  Is that correct?   In neillt's version, the motion...

    Newbie questions about Omni IIe

OK, I understand the idea of the Every 30 minutes command --- BUT, my understanding is that the "30 minutes" is divided up evenly over a 24 cycle.  Thus, if I happen to change the thermostat at minute 29, one minute later the program would change it back to the original heat setpoint.  Am I...

    Newbie question about flags

Thanks for the reply, neillt.  Being new to this (and not a programmer by trade), I probably don't understand the nuances.  Would the way that I had suggested not work for my application or is there a reason that your code would be better?

    Newbie question about flags

I played around with those too, but I don't want the lights to turn on when the motion is triggered -- otherwise my son would run all over the house triggering lights just for the fun of it!  And if i use the timer as a trigger by itself, the lights will go off after 15 minutes even if someone...

    Newbie questions about Omni IIe

I've played around with how to do it using flags, but I just can't make it work.  Any thoughts?

    Buttons?

Sorry for the slew of newbie questions.  I've tried to understand what "Buttons" are in PC Access and how they can be used.  Can anyone give a quick and simple primer so I can play around with it?  Thanks!

    Newbie question about flags

Ok, that makes sense.  So if I want to turn lights off when a room is not occupied for 15 min, would the following work:   1. When Dining Motion is NOT READY             Then turn Dining Timer on for 15 minutes 2. Every 1 minute              And if Dining Motion is Secure              And if...

    Newbie questions about Omni IIe

Thanks for the reply!  Thinking back, it was probably working before I changed it to zone control.  I'll switch it back to conventional and see if that works.  It's a gas-powered forced air furnace, single stage.   Is there a way to program the tstat so that if the setpoint is changed manually...

    Newbie question about flags

Hi, very new to HAI programming and trying to figure out some things!  When a flag is turned on by a particular trigger, if that trigger continues to "fire", will the flag be reset?   For example, I want a flag to turn on when a motion dectector is "NOT READY":   When Dining Motion is NOT READY...

    Newbie questions about Omni IIe

Hi all, I had an Omni IIe installed in my house last month with four thermostats and 7 light switches.  My primary reason was initally more for the ability to control lights and stats with my iPhone because my son, who has autism, has a tendency to fiddle with the stats and leave lights on...

Wireless Occupancy Sensors compatible with HLC and Omni IIe?

I just had an Omni IIe installed with a few UPB/HLC lights, and I'm now planning to add a whole bunch of light controls for automation.  My main goal is to turn lights off automatically after a period of time if no occupancy is detected.  In doing some research, it would appear that occupancy...

Omni IIe -- sunrise and sunset times are wrong

Well, I got it fixed...the daylight savings was correct, but I just re-set the time and it fixed it.

Omni IIe -- sunrise and sunset times are wrong

I noticed that lights were staying on longer than they should have.  In PC Access, the latitude and longitude are correct and the time is correct -- but both sunrise and sunset times are an hour delayed.  I can't figure out to correct this -- is there a way?
