I am building a new house so would prefer a wired version.
I don't really know what to google for as far as the lock. It's not a door strike, because I want it to be able to remain unlocked until I lock it.
would love a few suggestions...
Thanks.
I want to be able to remotely lock/unlock a door with my iphone through the Omnipro II controller.
Not really interested in a door strike, since I want to be able to leave the door unlocked until I leave the house.
I also need to know how to wire such lock.
I can't find any model online. Could...
Is there a way for the Omnipro to control a device via IR ?
Thinking of controlling one of those :

Thanks.
Do you think there would be a delay from the moment the reader sends the signal until it goes through the controller, that would send the signal to release the electric strike ?
All right. Here's what I am thinking...
I install the nextbolt biometric reader as an extra bolt, and an electric door strike with the door handle.
My understanding is that whenever the reader identify the person, an electric signal is sent to release the lock. Would it be possible to use that...
Stupid question, but if I am building a new house and plan to install the Omnipro II, as far as lighting control, shall I wire each light switch to the controller (is it actually possible?), or shall I use the UPB PIM alternative ?
I would like to know if anybody has done this in the past, or if anybody knows if it is possible. A description of all hardware involved would be great. I plan on having the Omnipro II controller.
I plan on installing on my main door a biometric deadbolt such as this one ...
Thanks for your reply.
Nuvo Essentia is not an option. WAY too expensive. Don't understand why.
I will just use itunes or the apple remote app.
You might be hearing from me a bit more in the next few months, once I have the omnipro II installed in my new house. :)
Have a nice day.
Hi,
I have a new house being built and have been looking at the Omnipro II with Haiku interface. It looks very nice but I cannot find much information on automation as far as audio is concerned. Ideally I would like to play music from itunes or other app such as Rhapsody through a set of...
If I have 4 zones hooked up to a variable speed AC. 1 big room and 3 smaller ones. If 1 small zone calls for air, is there a way for the Omnipro II to tell the AC to run at slower speed, so that the pressure in the system will be less ?
How is the overpressure managed ? I know of the bypass...
Sort of new to home automation and need some guidelines.
I am looking to equip my new construction house with an Omnipro II controller. I will have 6-7 different zones as far as air conditioning/heating is concerned. I would like to be able to control the temperature in each room through a...
