This alarm panel has piqued my interest for a while now, and it looks like Automated Outlet just posted a PR video showing off it's functionality. The reason this panel stands out is that it is targetted at the typical home owner who relies on an ADT-type alarm panel for security. This panel is completely wireless, and also supports Z-Wave out of the box (including thermostats). You can interact with the panel and your home automation via your phone/web using the alarm.com service (who offers an 'app' interface for every smartphone platform). A great solution if you are interested in home automation, but don't want to invest in a full blown ELK/HAI install, or have a 2nd home to monitor.
