Dual Fuel heat pump

I had our 5 ton heat pump die, and I am looking for replacements. Does anyone have a dual fuel HP? If you do, how did you do the outdoor thermostat?

The purpose of the outdoor t-stat is to turn the heat pump compressor off when the outside temp is less than 35-40 degrees
