Hai Omnipro console keypad problem

Hi, I have an HAI Omnipro console keypad inwhich the number three button and off button are non-responsive.
Has anyone successfully disassembled and repaired an issue like the one I am dealing with?. WThe off button can be activated with significant pressure, but the number three button will not activate in anyway.
Your knowlege would be greatly appreciated before I start to troubleshoot. I installed this system for them in 2009. Console 2 which receives much more use shows none of these issues other than worn key numbers.

You could maybe try to remove the button cover and cleaning the contacts below with an ink eraser and then wiping the button insides and contacts with alcohol to see if that helps.  Personally have never taken apart a keypad console.  I have done this with older remote controls and old wireless telephone handsets.
