I have noticed that some members have sponsored the site. I get so much out of the site I am interested in sponsoring/helping out. I am unable to find where and how to do this.

wow, many people have been asking me about this the last few days.  Really makes me feel good hearing how people appreciate all the efforts going into this community (and not just on my part).
 
I will be re-enabling the subscription interface soon, just need to work out a few bugs with the portal first.  I'll make an announcement once I get to that point.
