hmmm...the strange thing is if i have the elk control an individual UPB switch (not a UPB Link), there is no conflict, if the elk controls any UPB Link, the 3 zwave outlets go on/off...
OK -
I know per Elk you are not supposed to mix UPB & Zwave but i had done it w/o any issues when i had appx 25 UPB switches and 2 Zwave thermostats (trane).
The zwave signal was a little week, so I recently added 3 zwave outlets around the house and the good news is the signal is strong...
Thanks guys - when i reprogrammed the single taps to transmit status, all worked great! This method makes much more sense (sngle tap - local switch on/off,double tap is the entire link)...really neat feature...
thx
Aceman
Not sure why i didn't think of that singtap top/bottom turns local on/off, doubletap top/bottom activates/deactivates link.....
DUH.
I like it.
Thanx JonW
>>>>>>>EDIT - this did not work...when i defined the custom rockers with single tap - snap on & snap off (respectively) and double...
So what I ended up doing on the HAI switch (group of 3 switches) was:
Top Rocker - single tap - turns on local load, double tap - turns off local load
Bottom Rocker - single tap - turns on 3 switches, double tap - turns off 3 switches
Interesting thing is 2 of the 3 switches are HAI, one is...
Thanks Desert - appreciate the help even thought its not what i wanted to hear!
I wired all my remote switches in x-way setups as load switches (not accessory switches) so i guess i need the link just to control the load bearing switch. Maybe UPB will do this sometime down the road!

Is this possible w/ Upstart?
I want to hit the top rocker once to activate a particular link, and if i hit the top rocker twice (double tap), i want to activate a different link.
Is this doable ? essentially i want to use the rocker as a 4 button scene controller
Thanks in advance!
Aceman
Easier way (though pricier) is to use all 4 switches using master switches and link in upstart, so 3 of the 4 will have nothing connected to load.
Just another way to skin the cat!

This is what i'd like to do -
1) for a 4-way switch setup (3 switches), i want all switches to show blue LED with no load, all switches to show green LED w/ load turned on. I want this for when any switch is turned on/off manually or by Elk.
2) I want the Elk to track the status of...
Can someone help me figure this out - i've been atempting this for a short while and think i am missing something? I can store the temp every 30 minutes to a counter, but how do i display the counter (unless this is totally wrong)...?
thx
Aceman
I just setup my z-wave network using thinkessentials usb stick as primary controller,
and elk m1's new z-wave interface using a VRC0P as secondary controller.
Anyway - does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere where the elk can figure
out the current status of the lights? I know this is...
I to want to view the camers from either RMS or ekeypad. I think its crazy elk hasn't upgraded their list in years (and btw - the 7" touchscreen is discontinued)...
So does anyone know ifUbiquiti currently working w/ M1???
Aceman
So i'm trying to decide which cameras to get for the M1. I see the RMS software is limited in what the Elk supports (most of the cameras listed are fairly old).
I am probably going to go w/ ekeypad as well, not sure if that helps w / any advice.
What are some of you folks using? I saw a...
