ELK M1 Gold Communicating with Insteon

OK, so the best approach is:   ISY + ISY Elk Module + Insteon PLM + M1XEP   On Smarthome I found: - Elk M1XEP (1283XEP) - ISY994i with Dual-Band PLM (12237DB)   What I cannot seem to locate is what you cal the ISY Elk Module.  I did a google search and I believe this is software not hardware...

ELK M1 Gold Communicating with Insteon

So an ISY994i will talk to the ELK and be able to provide scenes for the Insteon but does it let me write rules like the M1XEP/? This may be more robust than I need as I don't do much with Insteon devices.  I bought a few so I can write a rule to have my lights turn on in the event of an alarm  ...

ELK M1 Gold Communicating with Insteon

I understand that Insteon communicates with the M1 via an Insteon 2413S connection to the serial port.   I was planning on purchasing an M1XEP but then I would have two devices needing to connect.  Is there a way to split the serial port into two ports instead of only using one at a time?

3 Sirens and a Strobe + Multiple Wires

Is it feasiblle to intercept the battery to provide power for the (3) 1 Amp Sirens and Strobe?  I could run the positive from the battery through the N/O circuit on Out 3 and connect to the positive on the sirens wired in parallel.  The negative of each siren would go directly to the negative of...

3 Sirens and a Strobe + Multiple Wires

I have three 1 Amp Sirens and a Strobe.  In reading through the manual and looking at various posts I have reached the conclusion that I should place all 4 devices on a separate power supply and connect them to Output 3 with a Relay.  Any suggestions on what relay I should buy to handle this? ...

    Door Switch Issue

I must have a short somewhere as it is intermittent.  I am going to remove it and rewire it to another wire and hopefully that will cure the issue.  Always tough troubleshooting intermittent failures.

    Door Switch Issue

I am installing an ELK M1 Panel.  I purchased a generic N/C switch from Radio Shack.  It is home run to the panel.  I have disabled all zones except Zone 1.  I have set Zone 1 to EOL supervised.  One wire from the switch is connected to Z1 and the other to a 2200 Ohm resistor. Then from the...
