Email to Text Blocked on all Mobile Carriers

I've been sending Elk status messages to my phone for years. Granted I don't use the XEP directly, but have a script on a PC that monitors the XEP output and emails anything interesting to (phone)@vzwpix.com. Last year had general issues with sending email from my private server and started...

    Rules not running on time

I send lots of emails to vzwpix, both text and images, but not from the XEP. Suspect your problem is there. For 20+ years was using my local email server (sendmail then qmail), but in the last few years more and more receivers kept getting picky about who was sending. Relayed email through...

    M1XEP not connecting

Did you go into ElkRP and verify the M1XEP setup? While you're in there, change it to a fixed IP address. Its one less variable, and since the XEP is always on the network there's no need for dynamic assignment. Also, post #2 here...

    reading static ram

You could change the installer code a few times and dump the eeproms after each change. Compare the dumps. You might want to check all the chips on the board and see if there's any other nvram types where secure stuff might be stashed.

ELKM1 Rule - Text to Keypad on Zone Change

There's a specific way to clear messages on the keypads. Maybe your displaying "" to clear is causing an issue.

ELKM1 Rule - Text to Keypad on Zone Change

That would be a good idea. Could be that the keypad is processing the blink, and misses the display. You could also try doing something else not keypad related to make sure the whenever trigger is working. for example Whenever zone 49 not secure then announce say time Elk's explanation of how...

ELKM1 Rule - Text to Keypad on Zone Change

I have rules that are WHENEVER/NOT SECURE on non-alarm zones and they work fine. Suspect your problem is with the DISPLAY line. Maybe the lone ^M in the text is fouling it up?

    Monitoring utility power?

Except I've noticed the M1 doesn't seem to respond to short power drops. I flipped the power on/off for about a second and got my notify on zone 1, but no power fail message from the M1.

    Multiple M1DBH terminations

From the install manual: "Two (2) quick connect header pin plugs (J1 and J2) along the bottom of the board may be used for temporary purposes I.E. bench testing using a four conductor ribbon cable. Do not use for permanent connections." Normally you would daisy chain the DBHs using 4 wire cable...
