Anyone know how much the C1M1 Elk dual-path communicator is going to be going for? It is to be released this month, 8/2016.

Would that be the way to go?
If one goes the IP Datatel route, does that mean the $48 annual cost above requires...
I only have ethernet connection (no phone line in house) to CS currently and want to add redundancy with an uplink. I do have an Uplink 2500 but I hear it will be phased out by CSs if not already?
I just read up a little on the C1M1 Elk communicator. Should I go for that or get a Uplink 4500...
Im thinking I may have to go with a 1280 battery because of the current draw.
edit: scratch that, i already have a 1280, i think with that additional 1208 for the Uplink 2500 and its power supply, i should be ok for a 4 hr standby.

I have an appt with AlarmRelay to setup my M1 and M1XEP. Anything I should be doing ahead of time?
I did log into my router to make sure the M1XEP was connecting, I see the MAC address and an IP assigned to it. I haven't set up the DynDNS.com yet or forwarded the ports (2601, 21, 26, 80) yet...
Work2Play, i guess i was wrong.
I misunderstood Wuench. He/she was commenting on how to keep the update client active, but I thought the comment was about how the ISP re-issues IP based on cycling of modem or router.
But I still dont understand under what criteria the IP gets updated, a certain...
