You said you have MTU connected to 'one ' phase on panel? You do know one wire from mtu needs to go on one phase, the second wire on other phase. Took me a few tries (even tho every other breaker is theoretically a different phase, was not the case in my box)

Hari, Had similar problem with mine, moved wires to different breakers and resolved. As for customer service. I have emailed them before with little luck. But I have called several times with just fantastic support. Had a problem with display unit, had a new one the next day by fedex.

thanks..i followed right up to where I got a key. But thats ok so far, have not yet made purchase of ecm1240. waiting for new ted 5000 to comape functions and ease of use. they say its due out this month, so will wait out he month, if still no ted, will get ecm1240 qnd try this out again...

I downloaded demo of homeseer pro, looks very cool. is there a way I can install plugi, maybe simulate ecm1240 to see what kind of info I get, what it looks like. Or do you have some screen caps of what end result is?

I have one of those smart meters. It has built in cell phone that duke power uses to read it. For $10 a month extra they will give ability to also access it, but just once a month like them. If there was some way to monitor it continuously that would be fine, but for $10, I'll walk outside...
