So I reloaded the firmware and that got the serial number to re-sync, the "Lost Comm" ended up being a termination problem after all, I had pulled the wrong jumper off the M1XSP that was in the middle of the daisy chain. Everything is working now! Thanks for the help!
Well I'm puzzled why it comes up with the different M1 serial number on the display. I can confirm my Keypad #1 comes up with the serial number that matches my M1 control on bootup. I will try just setting the keypad address to 01 and temporarily remove the other keypad and see if it can talk. ...
I've got a similar issue, but it seems the keypad I am attempting to install and enroll is already enrolled to another panel. On boot it comes up with "Elk M1 00001C2C" which does not match the serial number of my M1 Gold. Is there a way to factory-reset the keypad so that it forgets its old...
I did test the board once more with all zones disconnected and the charge voltage was still 12.3V. So I took the suggestion of contacting Elk, and they definitely said the low charge voltage was a problem and to send it in.
Off it went, and $50 later they told me a component near the power...
