We have 3 dogs, and a cat...we have had 2 Dyson vacuums, but they failed to pickup the hair after a year or two. We now use Shark vacuums...they also fail after a few years, but are much less expensive to replace, and last as long or longer in our experience than Dyson. Sent from my SM-T550...

I also have the isy994i, but I have not ventured to the Network module. I have the Zwave module...can you have both? Do you know if I can control my Yamaha CXA 5100 via the ISY too? I like to have multiple ways to control everything in case any one way fails.

I know this is an old thread, but I just found out you can turn on some Samsung TVs via a wall outlet. I can now turn my Samsung on and off with an Insteon outlet as long as the TV was in the on state when you turned it off with the outlet. This works great for me as I use it as a monitor...

Thanks, the reason I wanted to do it in this location is it is just above the top of the door for access and the room is extremely well insulated. The room has never gotten over 75F even without the a/c.

Does it need to be installed in the metal case or can it just be installed to a open panel? I am contemplating installing it in the ceiling. The ceiling (in a hallway) is on the first floor of our 2 story house. It would be behind an access panel with an air gap of around 6" to the ceiling joists.

I have been buying my LEDs at Lowes for $9.99 each... They are dimmable and work fine.

I know but I would have to build another pc to run it on. Granted I might be able to build some small and super efficient one to run it on...

Only runs on Linux from what I found... Haven't run Linux in 10 years. :-(

I have some Insteon and UPB switches, along with a Aprilaire thermostat that I would like to control via my pc and via cell phone for the cheap for now. Eventually I will move up to a ELK M1 or something similar. For the immediate time I would like to control the lighting only.

I thought UPB was one of the 3 formats and Insteon is x10 and has wifi. Do they mean other formats?
