Update:  Ordered and received a new M1XIN and it along with the rest of the system is working perfectly!

OK....I will work on these options.  I have ordered a replacement, but in the meantime, maybe I can find the problem.  I will post back with my results.

Tried adding a secondary power source to the XIN.  Also shorted the wires, and the zone remains at violated, regardless of NO or NC.  Have tried different definitions as well.  I have wireless hooked up (also through the M1DBH) and it works fine.  I have placed the XIN at address 3, 4, 11, etc...

Tested the water sensor with some water.....I guess I didn't really test the Glass Sensor, just seemed to be properly working on zones 1-16, but always violated on the M1XIN.

OK guys, perhaps I have a bad board.  I've got the M1XIN enrolled, and then added it to the software.  Physically, the board flashes OK.  I have added the zones, and then defined the sensors (Glass Break and Water Sensor).  They are setup the same way as similar sensors on zones 1-16 which are...

I will give that a try.  When you enroll an M1XIN, does it automatically add the hardwired zones in ElkRP?  Mine did not and was wondering if that was normal?

I am having trouble with the M1XIN Expansion board.  I got it enrolled into the system, but it will not properly recognize the sensors I've tried to add to it.  Its connected to the M1DBH and is properly terminated using the plug.  I've rewired all the connections to rule out wiring problems...

OK, I will definitely try these solutions.  Work2Play, which speaker specifically would you recommend?  I'm not tied to using the Elk45.  I also have an Elk 73....could that just replace the Elk45 into Output 2?

Just hooked up the Elk-M1 and fired it up for the first time.  I don't have the door, motion, or water sensors hooked up yet, just a keypad and the siren.  I have an Elk-45 on Output 2, but it emits a constant high pitched tone.  Its not super loud, but obviously any sound coming from the siren...

Update on my low voltage wiring.  I'm using the wall mounted rack for cat6, coaxial, and speakers.  I only did conduit entering the ceiling as there is no security issue (and still have some cleanup to do).  Not done all the wiring here yet, but probably 80% on this section.  Still have the...

Everything sorted and bundled and ready for ElkM1 and wall mounted rack panel.     This weekend I am installing the rack mount for the Cat6, Switches, Coaxial panel and speaker panels.

I thought I would update my wiring closet work with a few pics.   Unbundled the cables and labelled and starting to sort by cable color:  

I am just finalizing the wiring in my house, and we wired some cat6 to the location of the door opener motor, but not to the location of the remote control button.  I thought it was best to wire directly into the contacts on the unit instead of the remote button locations and was just looking...

Is it better to the remote openers or the garage door opener motor itself?

I know its pretty messy :-).  I just finished it and its now about -20 celcius, so I won't be able to clean it up until insulation is done (this week) and the heat can turn on.   I will start on the D rings and bundling by color next.   Then on to specific equipment and organizing.  Just looking...
