I totally agree with you sticking to open standards. Unfortunately for me I have acquired my IP phones for a very good price and the only way I could use them is thru CUCM.

I have a sensor in every car and when the tag manager loses signal to the tag. It triggers an action to run a HTTP post. Since I use Vera this it is pretty easy to run a away scene via HTTP post.
