Is there a way to skip over device numbers within the ISY-99i?
I am trying to use Insteon/X10 for my lights and Zwave for the thermostats, I need to leave the first 5 devices empty within ELK since those are my thermostats.
Thanks.
Yes I have the ez8 version of the elk system. I did get everything working in control think and i do have the zwave firmware loaded on my serial port.
What special settings do you have to do in elkrp?
Ok... So I have the elk hooked up to the vrc0p via serial port, and the thermometers are not working with the elk yet and I can't seem to get them to work. Anyway when I arm the elk to away it puts the thermostats in away mode, and then when we disarm the thermostats stay in away mode instead...
I am trying to use my elk system with the vrc0p, but I have been unsuccessful to get that to work.
Yes I am using schedules, but the away mode is overriding them.
I'm trying to hookup my new TZ43 thermostats so they work with my Elk M1 system. AutomatedOutlet guys suggested this route since I can't run a cat5 to the thermostat locations for the hard wired thermostats. I have an extra serial port for my elk that is free, and I also purchased a Leviton...
Ok, I can't get a wire from the downstairs thermostat location back to my wiring closet. What do I do in that case? What other thermostats are recommended that are wireless/etc?
Will the HAI Omnistat2 work with the wiring already in the wall or is additional wiring required to hook it up to elk? I know that I need a serial port expander for elk, and I already have that. Here is the thermostat I am considering:
