Does anyone know which orientation this cable should be connected to the 12pin header inside the 4500EZ? The connector is not indexed, and does not indicate which IS PIN1.

I DID buy the 4500CAB and am ready to install. Unfortunately, there are no guides for the connector, and I am unsure which orientation is correct. Which end of the cable connector is PIN1?

So... How am I turning each speaker on / off independently in that set- up or adjusting the volumes individually?

For what it's worth, the outlet IS installed in a single gang, mounted (plastic) junction box. The incoming electric line is stapled to the stud below the outlet box. I also noticed, after reading your post, that the picture was taken before installation of the single gang decora outlet cover...

What I did meets all local code for accessibility of the outlet. It's really nothing more than an "alcove". I honestly would like to hear from Del how he would accomplish the same objectives.

Do tell... especially given the cost. Individually addressable voice announcement zones in each room?

I actually have done this a few times in the house and have a few more locations I want to do: Cut our drywall for speaker blank frame. Place a 2x4 shelf along the bottom Install an insteon outletlinc in a single gang box in cavity Place a set of of speakers and an ELK speaker in cavity...

That would be fine if the baffle / speakers were removable.  I'm using these as a "cover panel" of sorts, and need to be able to access behind them by removing the false grill.

Hi!  I'm hoping someone out there can help me source these speaker blanks:   http://www.inwallstore.com/product_p/blankframe.htm   They have been out of stock at that store for quite a while;  I need some for a new project.   Does anyone have a source for these (or similar model)?
