Thanks, that's sort of a 'duh' on my part and it makes total sense. Sort of a weird design that the chime button can enable/disable beeps per keypad but it can also enable/disable voice for the entire system. Too bad the speaker isn't built in to the keypad from the start.

I have a couple of 3-ways that use WS1DL switches instead of remotes, too, but that doesn't allow dimming from the "pseudo-remote" switch.   My wife wants dimming from both switches in this case so I'm sort of stuck with a remote switch on this one circuit.
