    RGB recessed gimbal lights?

Just saw this, not sure if you found what you are looking for but there are some options at https://www.prolighting.com/brands/lotus-led-lights.html Using constant current driver and an LMJ 0-10v control you can simply include it with your RA2

    Automation choices for 2019

Bill, you articulated well the process I am also going through. Previously I advocated that automation should not be visible to the eye, and all I cared for was the integration between various systems, but lately I am longing for something that would more please my eyes. Whether on the wall or...

    Carrier Infinity

I doubt that it will work, if you do not have a thermostat connected, than your ABCD bus not used. Connect a Bryant thermostat to it to see if it works.

convert dimmed line voltage to signal

this is funny Bill... your comments over the past 1-2 years how the RA2 system does not provide a daylight sensor option got me thinking again, like the one most recently on AVSForum RA2 thread.   Lutron's daylight sensor can simply be paired with Maestro dimmers, but cannot be added to a RA2...

convert dimmed line voltage to signal

I am trying to make this a simple question: lets say there is a conventional 110V triac dimmer and would like to convert this to some kind of signal (digital [preferred] or analog)   For example, if it was a simple switch, not a dimmer, a relay closing/opening a contact would do it. What about a...

    Carrier Infinity

Hi acd, the recording you have are coming from a zoned system. There is only 1 thermostat on each system, the smart sensor for zone 2, or remote sensors are just that; sensors that feed the data to the primary thermostat. Look for the strings s1z1... and s1z2... where Z1 is first zone and Z2...

Multi-zoning driven by true variable speed air conditioning. Is it finally here?

congrats to your new systems.   it will take a while until your whole house is dried out. it also depends on the leakiness of your shell, how well the vapor barriers work. If you cook a lot, bathrooms have no exhausts, clothes dryer vented in basement, water, humidity in basement etc. i.e. a lot...

    SP12F behind M1KPNAV

I have mounted SP12F behind  M1KPNAV.   Disclaimer: this may not be acceptable where you live.   I used Carlon 1-gang combo 1/2 inch|5/8 inch plastic mud ring. If your local home store does not carry this particular type, you can glue two 1/2 inch mud rings together using pvc primer/cement  ...

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

Of course... Attached you can see the latchbolt on the lock side and the strikeplate on the other side of this double door. Behind the strike plate notice the wire for the latch bolt monitor to be selected.

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

Yes, I already ordered and received the Securitron LMS-1 which is as you said cheaper than the one from SDC.   But this seems designed for strikes or metal doors, the bracket/cup is a bit longer(taller) and with the microswitch mounted on the outside also wider than the standard ANSI 2 3/4...

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

Thanks DEL! Yes, my magnetic sensors were the wide gap variety, which since I have replaced with a tighter tolerance variant. Given that the holes are lined up, this still allows for a play that just permits the latchbolt not be latched, while sensing the door closed. I do not intend to replace...

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

I have electrified fail-secure cylindrical locks from SDC installed on front and back of the house. Power is controlled through Elk outputs. The locks and rules to manage them work fine, but magnetic door sensors do not notice a door ajar. So this way, locking the door is useless if the door...

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

Thanks for the idea, I do plan to wire back the latch bolt monitor to the panel and will be running the wire behind the molding as you suggested. Do you have a part number for the switch you used, there are thousand of switches to consider. Are there any purpose-built devices out there?

    Door latch bolt monitor recommendation?

My quest to convert my doors to electrified locks has been completed and for most it has been a success. One issue left solving is that it is no use to lock a door if it has not been properly closed and latch bolt latched.   I do have recessed magnetic switches in the door frame, which were of...
