It seems that I can not arm or disarm my Elk M1 from eKeypad Alarm. Punching in a code does nothing, hitting arm does nothing. I can see zone status and it does updated as zones are violated (i.e Motions, contacts). Its only the arming function that doesnt work. I ensure all the serial outputs...

Figured it out, found another post on UD forums which referenced turning on some checkboxes in Globals on the elk, this fixed the issue. The checkboxes defined what communications were sent over the serial link.

I've read in other posts that when ElkRP, communications wont work. I always have it closed when trying to test. It seems like, ISY can talk to Elk, but Elk cant talk back to ISY. Even when I arm the Elk from the ISY Admin Console, it doesn't reflect the status update, but the Elk does Arm...

I just installed a new Elk M1G and an ISY 99i, it seems that the ISY can see the ELK m1 Arm Status & arm and disarm the alarm but the M1 cant control any of the lighting that I imported. I see them in the Elk Web Keypad but when i Click on them or try and change the brightness nothing happens.

I am about to order an Elk M1 Gold with the ISY 99i package. A couple questions I had were Should I go with closed/open contacts for doors and windows? is there any pros/cons? What kind of wire should I get to wire up the contacts? I am also thinking of using Motion Sensors... I have 2 small...
