That's what I thought as well but it seemed like a strange coincidence. Ekeypad.net is back up and I still have the same issue so it was unrelated. Everything still looks fine with the public ip and port forwarding on the firewall. This is via a FIOS connection so I'm going to check and see if...
Is anyone else having issues accessing their Elk and/or ISY devices over the internet via eKeypad? I'm suddenly unable to connect with my iPhone but all of the settings and network tests look fine. ekeypad.net appears to be down right now as well; coincidence?
Thanks for the tips everyone- I contacted another round of local dealers and am waiting to hear back. It'll be interesting to see if anything changes with Legrand.
Plan B is to hook up a small airplay compatible reciever to one of the E6G inputs and then stream from my iphone/ipad. It won't...
I'm becoming painfully aware of this. AO doesn't sell them anymore. I love my Nuvo system but I'm starting to regret that I bought such a closed system. I'm finally ready to add the MPS4 but any authorized dealers I've contacted either don't even respond or want the same price at SmartHome...
Any recommendations on where to buy the Nuvo Music Port (MPS4)? Looking to expand my existing Nuvo system. (I bought the orginal Nuvo gear at Automated Outlet but apparently they have stopped selling Nuvo gear.)
I noticed the same thing as well. At first I was wondering if they weren't an authorized dealer anymore but then I found this thread. I've been looking at adding a MPS4 and possibly upgrading my E6G to a Grand Concerto, Might have to hold off for a bit.
Now that audio control integration has been released by Elk the eKeyPad app will be able to control a Russound, Nuvo, or Proficient solution via an iTouch or iPhone. That of course it of little help if the target user does not have an Elk M1 but if they do it's an easy solution.
Elk Technical Support got me squared away- I had to apply a patch/beta firmware for the XEP and then my audio control rules starting flowing to my Nuvo.
Excellent suggestion opie- I just tried that and can confirm that the M1 is not sending any commands to the IP232. I don't see any traffic whatsoever on the serial port of the IP232 when I have the M1 send audio control commands.
I also used another computer to connect to the IP/Port of the...
I got my IP232 but I'm having trouble getting audio control to work with the M1.
I'm running the latest firmware on the M1, XEP, and IP232. The IP232 is connected to the serial port on my Nuvo E6G and is set to 57600 with no flow control. The XEP is setup to talk to the IP232's IP address.
I...
My understanding is that the required firmware for the M1, XEP, and IP232 is all released. Make sure you have the latest IP232 firmware; I believe the audio compatible version of that firmware was just released.
I have an IP232 on the way; been waiting to integrate my Nuvo system for awhile.
I had a similar issue with Insteon. The "on for" rules never worked when polling was enabled on the XSP. When I disabled polling (via jumper) on the XSP "on for" started working. No idea how those two issues could be related but it worked for me. Polling with the XSP and Insteon was barely...
I have a Nuvo Essentia E6G distributed audio amp along with their Sirius tuner. They are 1U each. I wanted to wall mount them with all of my other wiring/home automation gear. For a typical wall mount rack it looks like I'd need to go with an 18" deep rack in order to have enough room in back...
I completely agree with AceCannon- When it comes to just playing MP3 files I didn't really get the point of the Music Port device- I got the Nuvo wired iPod dock to give me global MP3 playback with metadata at the keypads. I occasionally sync it to keep it up to date with what's on the...
