SmartHome Lamplinc's dying, need replacement suggestions

These modules are what put me off of SH. I've used PowerHome before and liked it. I have too much custom stuff on HomeSeer to start over now. I'll play around with the two Insteon modules that have been gathering dust, I just need one to work reliablity for now, but I doubt that's going to...

SmartHome Lamplinc's dying, need replacement suggestions

Of the five Lamplinc modules (2000SLS) I bought only one is still working. Can any one suggest a replacement? The replacements must be plug-in modules with scene capablity. The LampLinc V2 (I have two Model 2456D2 modules that I've never used) look like they would work, but I'm not at all happy...

    UPS self testing it's battery

I use Ultra UPS's and you can program them, thru UPSMON, to do a test anytime you want. I have all mine (4) do a self test at 0800 every morning. They can be set to call a pager and leave a message if there is a failure.

    X10 signal sucker

Thanks to all, I installed a UPS yesterday and forgot to use a filter! No problems so far, but I just added a filter, just in case, better to be 'safe than sorry'. :)

Anyone seen a temperature controlled relay?

You could 'pad' the pot (add or change the value of resistors on either side of the control) and shift the control range.

AM Radio Interfence in my speakers

You could try ferrite supressors, those 'lumps' that you find on AC and Video cables. RadioShack used to sell a split one in a snap-close case. try putting one or more turns of the speaker cables thru the supressor as close to the amplifier as you can. What happens is the speaker leads act as an...
