Vizia RF+ module dimmer with LED

I’ve had the best luck with Sunbeam branded ones that Costco used to carry. I’ve used the higher end Philips ones more recently and they work well too.

Vizia RF+ module dimmer with LED

I’ve found that most LED bulbs work well with my Vizia RF+ dimmers, but I have found some bulbs that exhibit that same behavior. I have three BR30s on one dimmer and bought some LEDs last weekend to replace the incandescents and they would not turn off. I had to leave one incandescent in place...

QUATECH ThinkQ QSE-100D-BA 4 Port RS-232 Serial Server (CHEAP!)

I've put the latest ones I have on my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6B5UrrgomCWdTRxNS1wZngwMFE/view?usp=sharing   I believe W7 is the latest they supported.   Cheers Al

Monoprice ZWave devices - any issues?

I've seen quite a few reports from people on the HomeSeer forum that use them, and I don't recall anything negative.  Maybe search the forum to confirm.  I've been considering them myself.   Cheers Al

Lutron, MyQ, and Nest. Looking to unify it.

Not sure exactly what you mean by community driven.  There is an active user base with typically around 50-75 active threads per day on the forum and there are quite a few third party developers providing free and paid plugins/scripts/etc.  HS staff themselves are fairly active developing the...

Lutron, MyQ, and Nest. Looking to unify it.

HomeSeer has third party plugins for all those including Kodi and DirectTV.  There's a 30 day free trial on the base app and also on the plugins, so you can try it with just investing your time (assuming you have some hardware you can run it on).  Also check out the ImperiHome app and plugin as...

Please help me choose a HA controller

1700 devices doesn't translate to physical devices. Multi sensors will have a number of "child" devices, so each physical device will translate from one to many HomeSeer devices. My Pioneer receivers each have about 80 HomeSeer devices. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Please help me choose a HA controller

Android tablets would be a good way to go from my perspective.  Also, in regards to your scalability question, I have 27 plugins, 1700 or so devices and 800+ events, all on one HS box with an average CPU load of 1.5%.  Here's my take on your other questions:   1. I would go with the znet.  I use...

Please help me choose a HA controller

I built my system for automation, not touch screen control, and don't have the patience to build custom screens that barely get used.  ImperiHome let's me build quick and simple screens that I can modify from anywhere (i.e. waiting at the doctor's office, etc.).  I use Leviton light switches...

    Zwave switches 3way and 4way?

Here's a good table with a number of options and reference to the remote/companion switches: http://www.homeseer.com/compare-z-wave-on---off-wall-switches.html   Here's the Leviton one for a switch: https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-VP0SR-10Z-Digital-Coordinating-applications/dp/B001HT4M70/ .  They...

    Zwave switches 3way and 4way?

Z-Wave switches handle it the same way.  There are lots of options, GE, Leviton, Cooper, HomeSeer, etc. all have companion switches to be used for 3 and 4 way applications.   Cheers Al

Please help me choose a HA controller

I think HS would be a good fit, but I typically recommend the regular version, not the Pro version unless you know you want the Designer software for customization of the HS Touch interface.  I personally don't use HS Touch, but do have the Pro license as I've been upgrading since the HS 1.x...

    4-way confusion

Based on the Leviton picture and the wiring diagram for your setup, you should be able to make it work, but it seems like you have the switch remotes, not the dimmer ones.
