I'll keep this short. I've been doing Home Automation since 2003 and I've learned a lot of what I know from this very site and others like it. I have an A.A.S in Electronics and I went to a technical high school where I studied carpentry, electricity and other construction trades. I currently work in the testing and developement field and have started my own home automation consulting company which I run on the side as work finds me. One day I would love to be more active at finding HA related work but time is limited with 3 kids and a wife. I have recently started a non-profit organization called Harford Hackerspace for techies like us. It's a local organization where people can hang out and collaborate in a lab/shop environment and work on fun projects while being educated by other members.
