    Anyone used a GadSpot DVR?

Sounds good  Let me know how it goes. I should probably give their tech support team a call and get to know them a bit. I wouldn't mind getting some contacts there so I can better support Gadspot products on this site and my own.

    Axis network camera software

I have a linux box so I will try it out. It is only a P2 400Mhz though  I'm sure its not going to handle well haha. You can record AXIS cameras over the Internet. You just need to setup port forwarding so you can access the camera over the Internet. Then you install your recording...

    IP Cameras and ActiveWebcam

Are you only seeing 10-12fps in the ActiveWebcam software? Try accessing the camera via web browser and see what FPS you get there. I have setup FTP uploading with my cameras which is done within the camera firmware itself. These are 4XEM cameras though. I have it set to FTP an image everytime...

    AXIS 241Q server question

haha yeah that would be the 10 pack :) I got fooled when I first saw that too on another website.

    Axis network camera software

I usually like to recommend Milestone software. It is very easy to use and has great features. I recommend it to people with just one IP camera because they also offer a free one-camera license. Considering you have 6, you will have to purchase the software. You can at least try it out with the...

    Anyone used a GadSpot DVR?

I usually don't like to recommend Gadspot products. Their tech support is very hard to get a hold of. I have contacted their company probably about 10 times now and not once have I got a reply. I usually contact them about their IP cameras and not their DVR's. Sorry, I'm not trying to say not go...

How do IP cameras work as to IP address?

Good stuff ;) If you want, write a review on my site about that camera. Right now I don't have any reviews for that camera. http://www.networkcamerareviews.com/networ...ra_details.html

    Cheap IP Cameras..

Price is something to watch for. Some IP camera manufacturers have been around for a while so they think their standing in the market can justify their prices. A lot of new companies are coming out that offer the same specs as some cameras but offer them at a lower price. A good comparison is...

How do IP cameras work as to IP address?

Each manufacturer is diffferent when it comes to assigning IP addresses. Find out if the camera supports DHCP first. Most do support DHCP but the rare one doesn't and usually has a default IP of 192.168.0.99 or something like that.

    Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera

I actually have a 4XEM IPCAMWPTZ camera setup as a demo for my website which deals with IP cameras. The link is http://ncr.dynalias.com:800 - username and password are "demo" - without the quotes of course ;). It is setup in a lizard tank which is a bit messy, i gotta clean it when i get home...

    IP cameras vs. PVR boards

You could try 4XEM. You can get the IPCAMWPT and the IPCAMENCLODHF enclosure. You can purchase them from Provantage for $581.48 total. To be honest, I would trust that camera and enclosure over the Panasonic camera because the enclosure has a built in heater and fan so it can go down to lower...

    IP cameras vs. PVR boards

Thanks for the welcome :) I guess I could make a few suggestions. When looking for an outdoor camera you need to take into consideration temperature changes, humidity and if you want a wireless camera. If you want to use an IR IP camera outside you will find an issue with some IR cameras and...

    IP cameras vs. PVR boards

I actually have cameras connected on my property. They use InfraRed as well so they can see anything and everything at night. I run a website about IP cameras. Feel free to take a look if you like.....http://www.networkcamerareviews.com
