    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Ya, now that we have an official acknowledgment and explanation, I'm less inclined to crawl up into the attic to get my original MAC too. Mystery solved, heh!

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Hrm. So in summation, this post has seen the following user MAC address changes from -> to:   whodah _____________ -> 00:40:9D:BA:DB:AD (note the BAD BAD at the end) standon _____________ -> (something to the effect of) 8B:AD:BA:DB:AD:BA:DB:AD (note the BAD BAD at the end) geogecko...

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

grtaylor: what did your MAC end up being, if you don't mind posting? Curious if we can see a pattern. The good news is that nobody has (yet) complained of a MAC address changing twice. So hopefully, that'll be it for you.

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Huh. Plot thickens! It might be beneficial for others if you report back in a bit (month, few months) to let us know if it changed again or stayed at that *97, if you wouldn't mind. :D

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Heya geogecko,   Curious, does your MAC match mine literally now? 00-40-9D-BA-DB-AD (00409D-BAD-BAD)   FWIW: Mine has been running just fine now since my last post, basically a year ago, with this changed MAC address with the term 'BAD' in it. Hopefully yours does too! :)   Thanks, -Who Dah?

Day sleeper: Temporarily bypass chime/voice announcement

lathiat: ah, thanks! I'm closer. Now at least the keypad (indeed, a M1KPNAV) states: F4 = Quiet Mode   I still get the very depressing low-pitch failure-like buzz when I push it though.    Work2Play: gotcha. It'd be awesome to get your rules and Keypad configuration for this task when you get RP...

Day sleeper: Temporarily bypass chime/voice announcement

So I think I'm close... I followed and setup the three rules here:   http://www.elkproducts.com/disable_voice.html     WHENEVER F4 KEY ON ANY KEYPAD ACTIVATES             THEN TOGGLE OUTPUT 100 WHENEVER OUTPUT 100 IS ON             THEN DISABLE NON-ALARM VOICE MESSAGES WHENEVER OUTPUT 100...

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Hi all,   Thanks for the replies.       Another example of someone experiencing this, but no replies: http://m1dealer.elkproducts.com/index.php?module=phpwsbb&PHPWSBB_MAN_OP=view&PHPWS_MAN_ITEMS%5B%5D=1205   Yes, the MAC address discovered by ElkRP is now different than the label on the M1XEP...

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Hi all,   I had my Elk setup for a bit, then decided to relocate it so I took it down. Then it sat in my office for about a year  before I actually did the relocation and is now hooked up again. I had a heck of a time trying to get the M1XEP to communicate. The same ethernet cable was no longer...

Day sleeper: Temporarily bypass chime/voice announcement

Hi all,   I've searched, but to no avail. I've found a lot of threads on using relays to control audio speakers for music, and I think I could get there based on that. But thought I'd ask in case I'm overlooking an easy solution as I'm still pretty new to the Elk world. Due do a day sleeper in...

Elk M1 not speaking zone changes

Hi all,   My Elk was speaking, including zone changes, just fine. I took it offline to relocate it, got distracted and the M1G sat in my office disconnected for about a year. I hooked it up again. Now my Elk is speaking in the sense that if I "Send and Say", then the Elk dutifully announces...
