I'm not on the couch or anything, but she has been somewhat distant. She was tolerant of HA as long as it served her, but once it failed, and this was a MISERABLE failure, she turned on it quickly. I think once she has to live without some of the fun stuff, like lights going on and off...

I have air-gapped and reset everything at least twice. I spoke to the folks at you know where and they agreed to replace only the switches that were under warranty. That was 8 out of 26. The WAF is in the negative numbers. It's time to rip it all out and stop playing with toys. A shame, because...

Just a further note: A more detailed count shows I lost 26 of 35 switches. The majority of the lighting in the house. It's been fun using the bathrooms in the dark. Happy New Year to All! Howard

Just tried that to no avail. Pulled the air gap on several of them with no success. When I push the air gap in, the led comes on, but as soon as I let it go, the led goes out and nothing works. Howard

A good thought. I actually called the electric company thinking this was the case, but the dryer and stove work fine. I also haven't noticed any outlets being out of service, just the lights controlled by Insteon. I think you may be partially right in that it may just be the switches on one leg...

The joy of the holidays is upon us, and apparently I have not been a good boy this year. It seems that the recent storm that came through with high winds sent a rather nifty spike through the power lines. I now find myself with somewhere around half ( 20 out of 40 or so) of my Insteon switches...

Are these switches by any chance ToggleLinc Relays? I have 1 of them and it ALWAYS goes on after a power failure. This is a known issue with the Togglelinc Relays. Interestingly enough, two days ago the power flickered off and on. Immediately every light in the house came on. Sort of wierd to...

Does anybody know if you can load java on one of these? I'm using ECS Omnipotence and this would be a cool remote for lighting if java works. Can't beat the cheap price. Howard

I'm working with it now, but running into a few complications. It's hard to tell if they are Insteon issues, or ECS issues. ECS has been incredibly great with their support. I'm not sure they have had anyone really put Insteon to the test with their software. I will continue to push forward...

Is anyone using both of these together? I have some questions and hate to continually bother Mark at ECS.
