Motorola Premise
it's not a phone, but a pocket pc with a nice 480*640 display, about 4" diagonal.

great standby life and it would make a nice AB remote since you can let it set for many days without charging!

with your working internet settings from your registry, i think it is possible to make my pocketpc browser identify itself the same as your mobile ie browser... there also maybe a security setting to change. I can easily change from wm 5.0, 6.1 or 6.5 by using various ROM updates found online too, so I really ought to be able to get this to work...

EDIT: I believe the WM 6.5 version I just flahsed to has internet explorer mobile 6.

So heres the config items I have...

WM 6.5
IE Mobile 6

Browse websites - 'Mobile Device'
Play Sounds
Show Pictures

Enable scripts

Enable ActiveX Controls...(found under one of the options on the web page - also provides options of home page, history, refresh, view, tools, copy/paste, exit)

I'm sending the rest of the reg questions under PM

Also, need the urls for the ROMs (I have an Axim x3....will need to move up to a X51, it seems)... :D

I'll have to post the url when I get home. I'm wondering if there is something different about your browser, because I don't have the activex option to check within ie. Hopefully the keys you sent will work for me and I don't need some special DLL file or something to get these additional IE options.

why don't you PM me your email address and Ill send you the whole registry...(PM won't allow the registry to get pasted in)
I deleted all of my personal info (I think) except my birthday, in the event this works and you feel grateful :D

PM sent. Looks like I'll have lots of homework to do this weekend!

Here's a good link for WM6.5 that appears to have two versions of ie: one is mobile, one is pocket.

I'm downloading it now for my axim, we'll see if the mobile edition solves my problems. Thanks to Chucks registry, I now believe I need the "mobile" version of ie and not the "pocket" version. This ROM build has both!

EDIT: So it does work on my Axim when using IE6 mobile. However, it is so slow that it's of not worth using. Perhaps a future version of windows mobile might fix that. It does make me wonder about the new windows tablet that's coming out. If someone compiled a new rom with the sole purpose of using the AB, I wonder if enough other stuff could be nuked to increase performance.
