My experience with the first release was almost identical to the one in the video, and I think this will make a great client for Android tablets.
I personally believe that these kind of clients don't belong on phones, because all the graphics will just give the user a slow experience (no matter what home automation software they select) due to processor and bandwidth limits. Phone GUI's should be built using the OS's native GUI components in order to minimize lag and provide a more consistent experience.
