CocoonTech visited the Optex booth at the ISC West conference to report on their motion detector products.  They offer many passive infrared motion detection solutions including the FTN series, which is made to detect short and narrow areas such as a walkway, alleyway, or side of a house.

These detectors output dual beams, one parallel, and one at an angle pointing to the ground.  Both beams need to be broken for a detection alarm, making them pet immune.  This FTN series has a single detection pattern of 16 feet.
