[Articles] SmartHome now accepting pre-orders for the integrated Venstar INSTEON 1/7-day thermostat

Last September, I posted about a new version of the Venstar thermostat, which has the INSTEON circuitry integrated (the original Venstar thermostat required a seperate, and ugly, adapter), but would only be available via the installer channels. It looks like SmartHome has changed its mind, and is now accepting pre-orders for this same thermostat via their website. The 1-day version will retail for $159.99, while the 7-day is going to run $199.99.

Of course, you can always modify your old Venstar + INSTEON adapter, so you aren't forced to upgrade if you want the new look, it's pretty easy.
