Dear Krikee,
I use a M-Audio Delta 410 PCI sound card. They can still be bought used on Ebay now and then. Each card has 5 pairs so using a player like JRMC you can play 5 distinct tracks at the same time. I only use 4 of the pairs on the card as the 5th is a SPID connection and my receiver doesn't have that (or didn't at the time I designed this setup and I have recently upgraded my main receiver). I also use some USB sound devices to get some other pairs. I have a total of 6 pairs for the six zones I use for my house.
