Can ELK talk to Lutron Homeworks (Not RadioRA)

Anybody have the ELK communicating with a Lutron homeworks controller (hardwired control of inwall dimmers)?

Just trying to eveluate the differences between Lutron Homeworks Series 4 and OnQ ALC before i plunge in.

I thought i was all set on ALC but Lutron certainly has more options and more attractive keypads.

Potential "Plan B" solution:

Premise Home Control (free HA software) supports several Lutron products including HomeWorks Interactive. I have no experience with Lutron's products so I can't vouch for how well Premise's driver supports Homeworks. However, I've attached a screenscrape of the Homeworks driver to give you an idea of its capabilities.

It may not be the solution you were considering because it requires a PC to run Premise (FWIW, I use an old 866MHZ Pentium III). There's also an ELK M1 driver to help create an integrated solution.

Lutron HomeWorks 4 seems like a great hardwired retrofit solution, much better quality than OnQ ALC.

Isn't HomeWorks one of the most popular lighting control systems?

I bet Elk gets this request a lot.

Edit - To be fair, perhaps HomeWorks is more error-prone than ALC. Not many HomeWorks DIYers, so very few online discussions. So, honestly, I can't compare quality.

Bump.

Argh. Wife pushed kitchen renovation to the top of the list, this weekend.

I'm still leaning heavily toward rock-solid HomeWorks.

Seems like this last year that Lutron made a big push to enroll lots of electricians.

Can't beat HomeWorks 4 for a whole-house retrofit solution, combining hardwired and wireless.

Anybody who balks at the cost of replacing an aging Crestron or AMX system may jump at an M1 (or HAI) solution. If only it was integrated with HomeWorks...
