Dimmable LEDs- there is hope

Just thought I would toss this out- I'm an engineer by day, so i see a lot of trade mags, emails, blah blah blah marketing, you name it. Something caught my eye recently- in the past month or so I have seen at least three different LED ballast ICs designed to handle triac based dimming. So the capability to build a 120v fully triac dimmable LED lamp is out there- hopefully some products will show in the next year or so.

I had pretty good luck last year dimming LED floodlights for my outside Halloween setup. There was not much range on the top-end, but the low-end seemed to dim fine.
