Door strike recommendation

I'll need 3 for "normal" 4 7/8 ANSI residential doors using cylindrical deadlatchs and one for a wood gate at the side of my house.

After doing a little searching here on peoples comments the Securitron UNL-12 (Unlatch) looks good for my indoor applications. The only negative I see is the constant 40mA current draw. I want to stay away from maglocks due to their relatively high power consumption.

What strike do you recommend for indoor use?

What strike do you recommend for outdoor use (side door exposed to the elements)?

How about a wood gate? (also need a gate open/close sensor).

Thanks.

Edit: comment about maglocks.

If any door will have a load on them (i.e. weather stripping), then the only two recommendations would be the HES 7000 or Securitron Unlatch. Otherwise with any other strike you will have to pull back on the door before the strike will disengage.

I would say the same thing about the preload on the doors, but in the case of a HES, I always recommend people spring for the smart-pak's as well. If the door jamb is wood, then you're looking at a more difficult install.

For outdoors, you're looking at a mag, no ifs or buts, and I'd go with a Securitron unit that is threaded for direct connection to pipe or flex, but you'll need to provide a splice point in proximity, whether it is a box or conduit body. You'd be able to get a mag with a position switch built in.

Good feedback, thanks.

I saw the heavy duty gate lock Securitron has. Overkill for my needs. Any other good options anyone know of? Still hoping to stay away from mags...
