Elk email helo command

Hello all,

I know a lot of people have had various issues with Elk sending email. The issue I have is that Elk is not properly introducing itself, and since the mail server is (correctly) rejecting the message, I don't get the alert. Here is an example from the maillog:

Mar 15 20:38:02 server postfix/smtpd[18314]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from 1-2-3-4.lightspeed.ftwotx.sbcglobal.net[1.2.3.4]: 504 5.5.2 <???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????>: Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname; from=<> to=<[email protected]> proto=ESMTP helo=<???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????>

How can I coax Elk to send the FQDN when connecting? Please don't suggest using another mail service. I run this mail server and it is set up correctly. It would be kind of silly for me to get a free mail account and forward it on because the Elk is misbehaving. Thanks in advance.
