Hi Folks,

I am new to the forum.

I have a new install of an M1 Gold system with the following addons: 1 keypad, M1XEP, M1XZW and CADDX NX-416E wireless (with 2 keyfobs and a few wireless sensors). I just recently discovered that in my logs from M1RP software that there are a bunch of 1299 Duress alerts. These aren't apparent on the keypad. I am not sure what is causing them. Does anyone know about 1299 duress alerts and the origins of such an alert? On my log, it is related to the only user who does have permission to create duress alerts.

On a slightly off topic, my wireless sensors seem to have stopped working....not sure if the two problems are even related....

Thanks in advance for any help

check the groups assigned to all your wireless sensors. should by exit or instant perimterter or something like that. Make sure none are set to something like panic, if so any time that sensor opens it will cause a panic alert.

I learned that one the hard away with a GE alarm. I was adding a sensor but didnt have the manual. I figured I could get away with setting group to 10, make sure the sensor registers and then change the group later. It turned out 10 was panic. So first time I opened the door the police came...

On my log, it is related to the only user who does have permission to create duress alerts.
I don't think that user has duress "permissions"... I think that user IS ALWAYS a duress code.
My understanding is that I would use my own normal code when I just want to dis-arm, but I would use a different code to dis-arm and signal duress (ie call the cops silently).
