Elk Zone Voice Descriptions

I am setting up my new Elk system and I am conflicted on how to setup the zone voice descriptions.

For example for the motion detector in the master bedroom I can have it say "Master Bedroom Motion", "Master Bedroom Motion Detected", "Motion Detected in the Master Bedroom", etc.

Any recommendations?  In the "heat of the moment" do you like hearing the location or the type of zone violation?

I get tired of hearing motion detection announcements after about 2 minutes. That's one sensor that I setup a voice description for (Living Room Motion, in my case), but leave the "Chime" box unchecked.

"In the heat of the moment" was it your child or other family member that set off the detector?

Thanks drvnbysound.

I guess I am probably confused by the voice alerts.  I don't really want to hear an announcement everytime motion is detected or a window is open.  But I always figured if in the middle of the night and the door opens the alarm would go off and the speaker could say the violated zone.  Or do I need to go check the panel?  Or maybe the speaker will say the zone, but the siren is so loud I can't hear it....

That is what a voice alert is, As long as chime is turned on at the keypad out1 beeps or speaks when that zone is violated when the system is not armed.

In an alarm situation the speaker will voice the alarm violated verbage and sirens at an increasing volume for ten minutes and then quit.Whether or not your motion detector will cause an alarm when it is violated depends on how you define that zone. You also want to distinguish between away and stay modes of the alarm and which zones are involved in each.
