Extron Switch Video Problem

Howdy all,

I just wired up an extron 100 matrix switch yesterday, and I'm having a slight problem. The audio switching is working perfectly, but video is another thing. I just have a single video input (input 1), and single video output (#1) wired. When I start my source up (a Sage media extender), I see the Sage load scene flicker on the screen, and then the connection is lost. The tv simply says "signal not supported." Any ideas on this? I picked it up used, bu I really hope that it works properly, and that the fault is on my end.

Does anyone have one of these, or have general knowledge about video switches? I'm pretty sure everything is wired correctly as the picture flickers on the screen before losing the signal.

I've seen switches with loose connections at the I/O board that have given similar results. Particularly with VGA connections. I'd ensure the board is well seated and then test again. If only using one in and one out, why not just barrell through?

The one in and one out is just for testing purposes at this point. I'm eventually going to have 4 component sources, 3 component ouputs, 4 VGA sources, and 4 VGA outputs. I'm aware that I won't be able to mix component with VGA, but I'm pretty psyched to be able to switch both formats amongst themselves with on device.

Would checking the connections involve taking it apart? That doesn't bother me too much, but I'm not sure what's entailed.
