FYI UniFi Alarm Hub Panel

This panel was announced today along with other Protect 7.0 products. Says available in March 2026.

Almost no info available at this time. One thing caught my eye that is shocking compared to everything else in the market - EOLR can be configured for 1k, 2.2k, 3.3k, 3.9k, 4.7k, and 5.6k!!!!!!!!!

If it's as good as everything else Ubiquiti makes then I think it could revolutionize the market.

I'll be watching this. At this point it doesn't look like it has very many features - just a simple 32 zone unit - nothing close to ELK capabilities. But I wonder how they might expand it in the future with add-ons and integrations with cameras, doorbells, relays, programming, automation, etc.

The biggest issue is the alarm manager is horribly immature and is missing tons of basic logic and options for hardware that has been out for years. The alarm hub will be almost useless for anything home automation. I cna only hope that Ubiquiti puts some serious effort into the alarm manager options when they release the alarm hub.

That said, it will NEVER replace the functionality offered by Leviton / ELK, etc.

Maybe I will get lucky and die before my Omnipro does! :-) I wish someone would have taken this product on. At least there is ELK.

Never is a big stretch. ELK is not nirvana. My Loxone is better in many regards but not perfect either.

Ubiquiti has had a solid history of expanding into new functional areas and then evolving rapidly. Overall their products and range is outstanding. There is no reason to think this won’t be another example. It might take a couple of years to fully roll out.

For the rest of the alarm industry there is nothing but stagnant or dying products. ELK’s E27 is an example of what appeared to be an attempt to modernize yet only seems to be something to provide dealers with better lock-in. Same for DSC NEO. Interlogix UltraSync tried and died.

For me, this announcement freezes my search for a replacement for my UltraSync. It jumped to the top of my list. If they evolve enough I’d be happy to replace my Loxone too.
