Happy New Year to all. I'm celebrating a complete calendar year that my self-installed Elk system has run without a glitch. The first few months with it were spent trouble-shooting my beginner mistakes.

Happy New Year, Cocoon Friends!

A nice trip to the downtown Philly to see early fireworks (6 PM - one of the best ideas EVER by the city) then a great dinner with the wife and friends at a favorite city restaurant. Then train back home and in bed by 11. I think I like getting a bit older and not feeling like I need to party into the wee hours.

Automation-wise, the only change was a modest return to using Homeseer a bit, and the addition of some inexpensive video cameras and hacking of a pellet stove to work with the Nest, Elk and ISY (Rube Goldberg, but it works great). My thoughts on 2016 are focused on the Amazon Echo, I think, but not quite yet. Best wishes to all for a great year!

I've been a member for a some time now but never needed to post anything.
 
I finally started diving into doing some integrations, I can't wait to share. I got a Bose SoundTouch20 for Christmas and I started controlling it from ELK M1.
