HB temp sensor in water

Cool, I took a Wild guess and went with pin 5 ground.
Made a sealed temp probe on the end of a meter long wire.
Hooked it up to the hub.
Started Wserver and it found the probe no problem.

Got to make 3 or 4 more probes and finish the software app that handles the data.
Thanks Eric

All the DS18S20 we sell are the externally powered type not parasitic. The DS18S20-P is just our part number and the P show that it is a part not a kit or assembled unit.

You are correct on your wiring and you can use any of the grounds because at the Master Hub they are all connected together but pin 5 (data GND) is the more correct one to use.

Ok, got the sensors.
No wiring diagram so I need some help.
The packing slip says DS 18S20-P on them, does that mean they are only parasitic?

I'm want to power these from the hub, not parasitic power.
I have your 6 channel master hub and I have a rj45 tool here so I can make cables that plug into your hub.

Need a diagrm for the rj45 hub pinout to the pins on the ds18s20.
I have your diagram below, just want to double check

The maxim DS18S20 data sheet shows
1 = ground
2 = data and
3 = VDD

Looks like
Pin 2 on the RJ45 is +5 - goes to pin 3 on the DS18S20
Pin 4 on the RJ45 is data - goes to pin 2 on the DS18S20
Not sure which RJ45 ground to use?
